I usually do not get facial treatments as I am so sensitive to most products. And my past experience has been extreme redness and swelling of my face for a couple of weeks after.
However Julia uses only the purest products and is so very knowledgable. This was the best I have ever had and I have already scheduled my next appointment. Enlightening experience
I have been looking for a place to get a calming relaxing and spiritual experience through massage. A “typical” massage helps loosen muscles but I wanted to experience something for my soul and spirit. It sounds crazy...I know! But I can only explain it as I was wanting to find a service to allow me to center my mind. After months of searching to even find what it’s called, I fell upon ASMR and Ayurvedic. I called Julia thinking it would be like every other call I made that the answered with “I’m not sure what that is!” Or “Let me ask someone else” or “I don’t think we can help”
Julia right there in the phone looked up what I was asking for and we talked about it. She was excited to look into ASMR and I was excited to schedule an appointment immediately.

Julia made time stand still. When I got up off the table, I was amazed that only an hour had gone by. Somehow Julia was able to do the most amazing thing: combine excellent massage techniques that relaxed my body and mind, with incredible skin care techniques, to give one of the most multi-faceted facials I've received by a professional. I enjoyed it all: the scent of the facial cloths, the warm seed pillow beneath my neck, the richness of the Ayurvedic products, the pressure of her foot massage, the stimulation of her facial massage, the fluid movements of the Kansa wand, and her quiet, comforting presence. Julia explained what each product was before she used them: cleanser, manual exfoliant, enzyme, peel, mask, etc. I was able to allow myself to let go of my thinking brain and enjoy the session thoroughly. As a newly licensed aesthetician myself, it was an exquisite master class in "FLOW."

after my massage with julia i was so relaxed and felt wonderful and it was on the way home that i realized that all of a sudden i didn't have the horrible trigger fingers any longer - i was able to make fists with both hands and i hadn't been able to do that for over 3 months - no pain - some stiffness but no pain for the first time in 3 months

I had clogged mammory glands+, that were showing as inflamation, and it was recommended that massage could help alieviate the potentials of disease. At last measure, inflamation is down to 1/3 of presenting issues. Relaxation and a Glow
I had a 90 minute deluxe facial with Julia. From the start it was pure heaven. Julia is lovely human and you immediately feel relaxed in her presence. Her space is very warm, welcoming, and oh so comfortable. When I entered I was carrying a good bit of stress. She started by relaxing my body with massage and I can tell you that made all the difference in my experience. So relaxing, so nurturing. Her facial skills are impeccable and my skin felt nourished with the amazing Ayurvedic products and herbs she used. She explained they were food grade and I was impressed that my face felt hydrated, my skin tone was even, and I had a beautiful glow. All without any chemical crap. She continued to intersperse the facial with massage. While the products were doing their thing, she worked my legs, feet, arms, and hands. She completed the my facial with the Kansa Wand. If you want to know what this is, check out her home page. It was a divine feeling on my skin and a really nice touch. Compared to facials I've had in the past, my facial with Julia was by far the best I've ever had.

Shirodhara is beyond relaxing
A day later, I still feel as though I am benefiting from its positive effects. During, for me, was not as pronounced - but I noticed hours later (including one of the best sleeps I ever had), feeling as though I am in a dream, when completely awake. It's profound! As close to a brain wiring reset as one could have without brain surgery, is my nonscientific pronouncement. If possible, have this when you have two days off in a row (day of, and after). Bliss!

A "Glowing" massage at A Glowing You
I've been to Julia several times to help ease some shoulder/rotator cuff pain due to overuse and for my eyebrow maintenance. Before the massage, Julia always takes the time to consult regarding any pain or issues and, after, she provides exercises to continue to work & stretch the muscles on my own. Her massages are always relaxing and performed with great effort to help determine the root of the pain and help ease that pain through her technique.
